I'm Brandon Firestine, Vice President and CEO of WNC Alarm, Inc. I want to personally thank you for considering WNC Alarm for your home and business security needs. I realize how important it is for you to have confidence in your security company, so I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about us, our company's history and its people. We are a local company with a reputation for exceptional service, pricing, and products.  We take great pride in the work and contributions that we make to our community.

After working in the security industry for many years, my wife Christin and I decided to start our own security business in 2004.  In February 2004, WNC Alarm opened its doors in Canton, NC as the Brink's Home Security Authorized Dealer for western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

The first year was tough!  Opening a startup business in the middle of wintertime with no phonebook or web presence made for a tremendous challenge.  Through perseverance, conservative managing and adding the right people, we continued to increase our business. In less than 4 years, WNC Alarm grew from a startup to a Brink's "Top 20" dealer, more than doubled our staff, and moved into a larger facility at our present location in Waynesville, NC.

WNC Alarm became IQ Certified in June of 2004.  We're the only local alarm company to achieve such a prestigious certification for its proactive approach to high-level installations and the reduction of false alarms. 

In 2006, we added Closed-Circuit Television or "CCTV" to our service offering.  

In 2009, WNC Alarm decided on its own to leave the Brinks (now Broadview Security) Dealer program. Having built a fine reputation as an alarm company, WNC Alarm was now in position to focus on custom, feature rich, security installations. We appreciated our time as a Brinks dealer, but now wanted to continue to build upon the WNC Alarm name. This has proved highly beneficial for us and our customers.
